The HID RWK400 offers 13.56 MHz read and write capability that can be programmed to fit anyone's unique business or personal needs. With its ability to write to HID iCLASS cards, it can be used in much more flexible ways than a mere reader, such as to store and maintain health care data, biometric information, or different types of payment data. It is an innovative solution that can solve many of today's access control problems.
All RWK400s support Wiegand connectivity, and one can choose between RS232, RS485, USB and UART for additional interfacing with your application.
With its built-in keypad, the RWK400 offers the ability to require dual-factor authentication for increased security in access control. For dual-factor authentication the PIN is encoded into the iCLASS card using the CP400 iCLASS programmer. The RWK400 can also be easily configured to be single-authentication only, allowing access through either smart card credential or PIN alone.
HID iCLASS cards, keys and tags are supported, as well as MIFARE, DESFire and Corporate 1000 cards.
The waterproof RWK400 is IP55-certified, extremely durable and will hold up well against the elements of almost any environment. It is small and compact in size (designed for single-gang installs) and has an attractive, sleek and modern look. It is made from a high-quality polycarbonate material that will stand up well to almost any temperature and humidity level, and is backed up by a lifetime warranty against defects.
