The Prox ThinLine II Reader is a very low profile 125 KHz reader that is offered in two different models offering either Wiegand or Clock-and-Data interfacing options. It is distinguished by its streamlined design and reliable performance. Encased in a UL94 Polycarbonate weatherproof enclosure, the ThinLine II Reader is suitable for both indoor and outdoor operation. Its rugged enclosure not only allows the reader to perform reliably in harsh environments, but also offers superior protection against physical tampering and vandalizing. Its operating parameters allow the reader to function reliably in temperatures ranging from -22 to 150 F, and in up to 95% relative humidity non-condensing, making it an ideal reader for outdoor operation. Operating power is 5-16 VDC, and linear power sources are recommended by the manufacturer. Thanks to its replaceable covers, this reader is easy to both install and maintain. Its low profile, combined with its reduced footprint, similar to the size of a common US switch plate, make this reader an unobtrusive and a design-conscious choice. And because the ThinLine II Reader's replaceable cover plates are offered in two different designs and four different colors, it will fit almost every decor. The ThinLine II reader supports card formats of up to 85 bits, which allows it to recognize cards in a range of over 137 billion codes. The reader can be mounted directly on metal without noticeably impacting read range and performance. Consistent read ranges vary for different cards, from 1.5" for ProxCard Plus cards, to 5.5" for ProxCard II cards. The reader features a keypad-less operation with a multicolor LED. LED and beeper functions are fully configurable by the host system, to serve a wide range of needs. The ThinLine II Reader has a lifetime warranty against manufacture defects.
