HIDs ProxPro II proximity reader offers a single solution to multiple needs, taking the ProxPro to the next level with a longer range, easier configuration and increased durability. The card reader can recognize card formats up to 84 bits, with over 1.93 x 1025 unique codes. There are two available interface formats. First, the Wiegand model that interfaces with all existing Wiegand systems. Second, the Clock-and-Data model which interfaces with most magnetic stripe systems. This high quality reader consumes very little power, while consistently performing well. The ProxPro II is 12.7 x 12.7 x 2.54 cm and only weighs 13.6 ounces. The power supply uses a tiny 25 mA average at 12 VDC. It transmits at 125 kHz. The ProxPro II easily mounts on a single-gang electric box, but can also be mounted directly onto metal without issue. The two-piece reader design makes installation an easy, simple process. Customers even have the option of purchasing a kit for glass-mounting. The polycarbonate enclosure is well designed to withstand extreme weather, and the ProxPro II can operate at temperatures between -22 and 150 F. The snap on cover protects the electronics inside. The rugged design and lifetime warranty guarantees satisfaction. The multicolor LED and beeper offer flexible programming for audiovisual indication. When the reader powers up, an internal self-test routine runs that confirms that the ProxPro II has the correct setup configuration, determines the LED control options you want to use, and starts the operation of the reader. Overall, the ProxPro II offers easy installation, rugged design, interface flexibility and versatile compatibility with existing systems. With lower power consumption and higher read range than the original ProxPro, it is an impressive upgrade.
