This USB card reader features Windows plug-and-play driver support, and will need little work from the end-user to integrate into existing contactless card environments. The OMNIKEY 5021 CL provides the security of 2048-bit key contactless card technology for a variety of applications, like e-mail encryption and network/PC log-on. The OMNIKEY 5021 CL is available in multiple colors and is easily portable, measuring just under 2.5" and weighing only 100g. It is compliant with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1, is bus powered, and has EMD suppression support.
There are several accessories available for the OMNIKEY 5021 CL, including an adhesive plate, card holder, and screw mount, which allow this reader to be used in many other applications, in permanent "card present" mode, and for tap-and-go use. Each reader also comes with LED status illumination that lights up indicators when a card is placed in the reader.
