HID iCLASS SE R15 Readers

The iCLASS SE R15 is a smart card access control reader designed to provide high security while maintaining compatibility with all existing popular access control systems.

The iCLASS SE R15 provides multi-layered security through secure data authentication, Secure Identity Objects (SIO) and the Trusted Identity Platform (TIP). Additional security safeguards the device from hackers using cryptography, the iCLASS Elite program for private security and EAL5+ protocol.

This device is highly adaptable; compatible with old and new technologies alike. iCLASS, MIFARE, DESFIRE EV1, Seos and SE are all supported. The reader supports NFC technology for smartphones using Seos, making it possible to use portable mobile devices that support NFC.

iCLASS SE readers like the R15 support the OSDP protocol that works together with Secure Channel Protocol to offer easy central management.

This device operates at a transmit frequency of 13.56 MHz and draws less power using an Intelligent Power Management (IPM) system. Its read range varies between 2.0 cm to 6.6 cm depending on the type of credentials and control system chosen. It is very small in dimension (1.9" x 6.0"), weighs 120 grams and can be mounted easily. It comes in black or gray color. It does not come with an additional keypad. RGB LEDs notify users about the system state at any point of time.
