HID EdgeReader Solo ESRP40 Readers

The HID EdgeReader Solo ESRP40 is an integrated multi-class smart card reader that offers low-cost standalone single door access control.

The EdgeReader Solo ESRP40 can control all functions of a door and also works as an HID multi-class reader, all with a footprint no larger than a traditional reader. This unit can read a variety of card types, including Prox, DESFire, MIFARE, and iCLASS, among others. The HID OPIN environment allows the EdgeReader Solo to easily migrate to a host environment.

The EdgeReader is simple to use and provides access to all important administration and reports through a web environment. Generate reports and manage remotely via a web browser - SSL (Secure Socket Layer) 3.0 and TLS (Transport Layer Security) 3.1 provides a secure web browser connection.

The unit is easily interfaced with an RJ-45 connector for Ethernet TCP/IP and has quick-disconnect screw terminal connections. There are inputs available for 1 door monitor switch, 1 request-to-exit switch, an AC fail monitor, and a battery fail monitor. The EdgeReader can be easily mounted to single gang style electrical box. Power over Ethernet support eliminates any need for a separate power supply.

This compact unit is just 3.3 x 4.8 H x 2.3 D (83.8 mm x 121.9 mm x 57.9 mm) allowing it to fit in tight spots and weighs just 14.7 ounces (400kg). It can operate in temperatures ranging from 32 to 122 F (0 to 50 C) and humidity of 5% to 95% relative, non-condensing. It is a UL 294 Listed Component and has a 18 month warranty against defects and workmanship.
