The HID EdgeReader is an economical and easy to use IP access control solution for a single door. This device is compatible with enterprise-level access control cards such as iCLASS, Prox, MIFARE/DESFire, FlexSmart, FlexPass, and CRESCENDO as well as Wiegand output reader.
Once the EdgeReader Solo ES400 is installed, there is little need to go to the door again, as everything can be configured remotely. The EdgeReader has the ability to manage 1000 card holder credentials, manage 8 schedules and 3 intervals each day. Information of most recent 5000 events, users, and administrators is all provided through a web based user-friendly interface that is supported by the following web browsers (at least); Firefox (Versions 2 and 3) and Windows Internet Explorer (Versions 6, 7, and 8). Web browser security is established via Secure Socket Layer 3.0 and Transport Layer Security 3.1.
Configuration and troubleshooting is made easy with the ability to back up and restore easily, connect a local laptop computer for diagnostics, built-in diagnostics, built-in help screens, and a 'calling card' that enables inclusion of contact information for user support. The firmware is user-upgradable.
DHCP or static IP network support and plug and play compatibility ensure simplicity. Also included is a built-in 802.3af power over Ethernet with 700 mAh available for external field devices and locking hardware, making the need for an external separate power supply unnecessary.
The HID EdgeReader Solo ES400 has multi-language support including English, German, French, International Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Dutch, and Turkish.
