HID Fargo DTC5500LMX ID Card Printers

The Fargo DTC5500LMX Card Printer is designed to efficiently produce laminated cards for increased security. This printer uses the LMX lamination solution that is robust, wasteless and efficient - resulting in a 40% reduction in lamination consumables cost when compared to legacy lamination solutions. It also provides the largest card patch coverage (95%)in the industry today.

The LMX Wasteless lamination solution is different from the traditional lamination process in that it uses one core rather than two cores (supply and take-up); in this way, the perforated lamination tears away after being applied to each card. There is also an option to use one-material lamination or two-material lamination this allowing for different front and back lamination types.

Other features of the DTC5500LMX printer include dual sided printing and dual-sided lamination capability. It was also the first laminating card printer to be GreenCircle certified and provides a 66% energy savings. The printer also features iON Technology which allows users to laminate cards within 45 seconds from cold start!
