The Crescendo C700 smart card provides both logical and physical access control using contactless physical access control and contact smart chip technologies. Contactless access control technologies supported by this card include HID Prox, Indala Prox, HID iCLASS, MIFARE Classic and MIFARE DESFire EV1. As such, this credit-card size credential can an act as an employee ID badge while providing standards-compliant support for hundreds of logical access applications.
Crescendo smart cards contain contact smart chips that are based on Java Card OS v2.2.2. They offer the highest level of network and technology security and the simplest deployment. This is possible through Crescendos unique Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), which enables users and computers to mutually and securely exchange data over networks.
The C700 smart chips use cryptographic co-processors and are capable of supporting 21 1024-bit digital certificates or 15 2048-bit digital certificates. Each card has EEPROM storage of 64K and offer data retention of 20 years.
The C700 supports Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows7 and Windows8 (both 32- & 64-bit), as well as Windows CE/Mobile, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris and UNIX operating systems. Additionally, it supports ISO 7816 1-4, PCSC/CCID, CryptoAPI/MSCAPI and X.509 certificates and the PKCS11 standard. It also supports Microsoft applications such as Windows domain log-on, Microsoft Forefront Identity, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
