The HID MIFARE Tag 1435 is a small circular tag that you can conveniently attach to any non-metallic surface, turning it into a contactless smart credential. The tag can be used for complex applications such as event ticketing, public transportation, and customer loyalty cards. It is particularly useful for upgrading with minimal outlay from magstripe, Prox or barium ferrite solutions to MIFARE.
MIFARE technology provides a high grade of security with mutual authentication and 32-bit unique serial numbers. You can store multiple applications on one tag. Programmable access conditions and two 6-byte keys protect securely separated sectors in the tag's memory, meaning that data is not shared until the reader and tag have both been authenticated. Key "A" is read only and Key "B" reads and writes.
The 1435 model has exactly 1 Kilobyte of EEPROM memory in 16 sectors. The 1445 has 4 Kilobytes separated into 40 sectors 32 are 64 bytes in size and 8 are 256 bytes. Both provide a fast transaction time of less than 100ms at a rate of 106kbps.
The tag will withstand over 100,000 read/write operations and offers a data retention of 10 years. It has a reading range of up to 2 inches (5 centimeters) that is unaffected by body shielding or variable environmental conditions. It is strong and durable, and weighs in at about 0.04 ounces (1.2 grams).
Convenient, secure and durable, the HID MIFARE tag range makes turning any non-metallic object into a highly secure MIFARE-compatible credential simple.
