A heavy-duty long-range proximity tag, the ProxPass II is designed to be used in vehicles. With an impressive read range of up to six feet, the ProxPass helps to automate the management and reporting of a fleet of vehicles, or automate entry to secure areas for authorized vehicles.
Every design choice has been made to ensure a seamless integration into any HID proximity install, whether or not there is existing equipment. Typically, the dual batteries only need to be replaced every two to five years, and the rugged sealed case is weather and UV-resistant. Able to be used in all weather conditions, the ProxPass II can handle freezing temperatures of up to -30 degrees Celsius all the way up to a blistering 85 degrees Celsius.
Compared to VHF (Vehicle Tracking Tags), HID ProxPass II tags offer a significant cost savings. Administration is made simple, as each ProxPass II has an external card number which corresponds to its internal programmed ID number (of which there are over 137 billion possibilities) by way of a cross-reference list.
At around 9 x 7 cm, the HID ProxPass II fits virtually unnoticed on the interior window glass of the vehicle cab, and when used with HIDs MaxiProx reader the read range can be as high as 1.8 meters. Note: for best performance, the ProxPass II should be mounted on the interior windshield glass rather than on metal.
A rugged and attractive vehicle proximity tag, the ProxPass II is the perfect long-range proximity technology for a vehicle or fleet of vehicles.
